Eagles' Dallas Goedert looks back on his standout performance against the Saints.

Ray Didinger joined John Clark on the latest episode of the Takeoff podcast and discussed the Eagles’ upcoming matchup with the Saints.

Key Highlights:

After a frustrating start on offense, Saquon Barkley’s two fourth-quarter touchdowns propelled the Eagles to a narrow 15-12 victory over the Saints. The Eagles' defense shone brightly, forcing four punts and sealing the game with an interception by Reed Blankenship, stifling a Saints offense that had been dominant in the NFL's first two weeks. However, injuries were a significant concern for the Eagles, with DeVonta Smith, Darius Slay, Lane Johnson, Mekhi Becton, and Britain Covey all leaving the game. Ultimately, it was a strong defensive effort and Barkley’s clutch performance that secured the win for the Eagles on the road in New Orleans.

### SEPT 22: INJURY UPDATE
The Eagles are already missing injured wide receiver A.J. Brown in Week 3 against the Saints. Now, in the fourth quarter, with a slim 7-6 lead, they’ve lost DeVonta Smith to a concussion.

Here’s the play that caused the injury...

### SEPT 21: BELICHICK'S COMMENTS
The New York Jets continue to navigate the aftermath of Haason Reddick’s holdout following his trade from the Eagles, prompting legendary coach Bill Belichick to weigh in.

“Look at a team like Philadelphia—they’ve built a strong roster,” Belichick said on Tom Brady's "Let's Go" podcast. “They keep making smart moves, like signing Bryce Huff and trading Reddick, passing that issue to someone else.”

Belichick’s remarks could hint at his own future, potentially aiming to impress the Eagles’ front office or criticize the Jets for their decisions regarding Reddick.

### SEPT 20: HAASON SPEAKS OUT
Haason Reddick, traded from the Eagles to the Jets this offseason, has finally broken his silence after months of being a contract holdout. As the Jets prepared for a game against the Patriots, Reddick tweeted cryptically, “God will always make a way.”

This marks his first public comment since July, when he posted a photo in a samurai outfit. Reddick has incurred over $8 million in fines and missed a payment of $800,000 for sitting out the game against New England.

### SEPT 14: DEPTH CONCERNS
The Eagles may be down two receivers for their upcoming matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. A.J. Brown is dealing with a late-week hamstring issue, and rookie Johnny Wilson is also questionable with the same problem, having missed practice on Saturday.

Fortunately, the Eagles recently acquired Jahan Dotson from Washington, who was intended to be their No. 3 receiver. If both Brown and Wilson can’t play, the Eagles will rely heavily on DeVonta Smith, Dotson, and Britain Covey—leaving them with only three healthy receivers. They may also elevate Parris Campbell from the practice squad.

### AUG 28: BARKLEY'S RANKING
Saquon Barkley’s move to the Eagles has been a major talking point, earning him a spot at No. 48 in ESPN’s top 100 players ranking for the upcoming season.

“Playing behind a strong offensive line and alongside stars like Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, and DeVonta Smith, Barkley has had room to shine in training camp,” wrote Tim McManus. “He’s showcased the speed and power that made him successful with the Giants.”

Barkley will face his former team in Weeks 7 and 18.

### AUG 26: ROSTER CUTS
On Monday, the Eagles released DB Parry Nickerson, OLB Julian Okwara, G Max Scharping, and QB Will Grier, the former Dallas Cowboys preseason standout, as they worked to finalize their roster to 53 players by Tuesday afternoon.

### AUG 25: ED KELCE BANNED
Ed Kelce, father of NFL stars Jason and Travis, claims he’s been “banned for life” from X (formerly Twitter) for discussing arms dealers and their alleged connections to the platform. He expressed frustration at being penalized while others seem to operate freely.

### AUG 11: NEW SIGNING
The Eagles have signed Caden Sterns, a former Broncos safety, releasing linebacker Shaq Quarterman in the process. Sterns may not be an All-Pro like Justin Simmons, but he’ll fill a needed role for now.

### AUG 11: LAZARD RUMORS
Media speculation suggests the Eagles might consider adding veteran wideout Allen Lazard from the Jets to strengthen their receiving corps, currently led by A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. While it’s just a rumor, there’s curiosity about what the Jets might gain from trading him for a late-round pick. Would they prefer Lazard or a draft pick for the future?
